Right now I am not sure how I feel about the Bourne franchise continuing on without Matt Damon, who pretty much made the franchise what it is today. From the current footage I can tell that Jason Bourne is not forgotten but is part of the plot of this movie. The tone is a lot like the original, with Jeremy Renner doing the same stunts as Jason Bourne. I will have to say that the trailer does make me interested to see where they can go on from here but it seems like it is heading in the right direction and may actually surprise me when it comes out but my expectation are not all that high at the moment. The fourth installment of the highly successful Bourne series sees the return of the franchise’s screenwriter, Tony Gilroy, this time stepping into the director’s seat for an entry which sidelines main character Jason Bourne in order to focus on a fellow estranged assassin (Jeremy Renner). Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz co-star, with Joan Allen and Albert Finney reprising their roles from the previous films.
