Outcast Trailer: Another Nicolas Cage travesty

outcast-nicolas-cage

Another year, another Nicolas Cage film. You know it’s going to be a bad movie when it co-stars Hayden Christensen as Nic Cage’s former brother-in-arms. It’s is upset to see Nicolas Cage’s career fall to such terrible depths but he does bring it on himself accepting such horrible roles. Thankfully we have to wait until February to see this atrocity but Chinese audiences are quite as lucky since it is debuting there before ever coming to the states.

When the heir of the Imperial throne becomes the target of assassination by his despised older brother, the young prince’s only hope is the protection of his sister, and the reluctant aid of war-weary Crusader, Arken (Hayden Christensen), who must overcome his own personal demons and rally the assistance of the legendary Crusader-turned-bandit, Gallain (Nicolas Cage), to return the prince to his rightful place on the throne

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sequel in the Works

TMNT-Shredder

After the success of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the box office this weekend, Paramount has decided to move forward with a sequel to this critical panned film. Already set for a summer release of 2016.  Michael Bay is set to come back and produce this sequel while the question remains if Jonathan Liebesman will return. I wasn’t interested in this movie but it seemed to hit the mark. Kids seemed to love it but not every audience member was that enthusiastic about it, considering that it had a ‘B’ CinemaScore. Time will tell how the sequel will do but I guess I’m not surprised by the news.

The sinister Shredder has seized control of New York City’s police and politicians, leaving his ruthless Foot Clan to spread chaos in the streets. With no prospects for salvation in sight, mutant crime-fighters Raphael, Leonardo , Donatello, and Michaelangelo leap into action. They put up a fierce fight, too, though in order to truly defeat Shredder, the heroes in a half shell will need the help of courageous reporter April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and her quick witted cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) as well. With their help, Shredder’s plan will quickly unravel, and this once-great city will rise again.

Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Trailer

Mockingjay-Part-1-Adds-Cast-Members

Hunger Games is kind of a weird phenomena. It somehow became one of the highest grossing movies of each year that it has been released. They are praised by most critic groups and made Jennifer Lawrence a star.  Young Adult novels have been a source for films for a while but most of them seem to fail. So far only Twilight and Harry Potter have been really successful  and now Hunger Games seems to be the most successful of the three. American audiences love it but foreign audiences have been a little less thrilled for these products. The first one didn’t do much overseas but Hunger Games: Catching Fire seemed to change that. Now I’m curious as to how the next one is going to do. It is clear that it is going to bank at the box office but how much can it make.

Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) finds herself in District 13 after she destroys the Games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage.

Why does Hollywood release the same movie twice?

hercules-dwayne-johnson

I keep seeing this trailer for Hercules in every movie that I go to. I have no problem with the idea of Dwayne Johnson as Hercules but the movie looks god awful. From bad acting to horrible effects this just looks bad. I did happen to watch The Legend of Hercules and it was absolutely unwatchable. It was a horrible knockoff of Gladiator and 300 and had no real connection to the character of Hercules. I think that this will be a step up from the previous version. I always notice that every year there is always one trend that garners more than one movie and there is only one that is better than the other. I don’t hold hope for this version of Hercules but I have no interest in actually watching this.
