Cloud Atlas, the overly complex tale of Tom Hanks and Halle Berry playing 3 different people in 3 different times.

Now this has to be one of the most interesting looking movies of this year, with the Matrix helmers at the directing chair what can go wrong, I don’t know they also did Speed Racer which was awful. So which movies of theirs is this movie going to resemble? Personally I think a little of both, the complex and philosophical journey of the Matrix and the visual flair of Speed Racer. Just from what I have seen so far with the movie is that it is definitely going to one of most complex stories and movie of this year, while last years was The Tree of Life. I wanna see how they are going to connect all the character and themes of this movie together, that is what interests me the most “how are they going to pull the story together and how it will translate on film”. I have a feeling now that it is going to get a slew of Oscar recognition, if it is as good as it looks, and if Tom Hanks is able to pull off three separate characters how will they nominate his acting? To me this movie looks as if it is going to be one hell of a movie and certainly a long one with ambition to create something truly spectacular and groundbreaking for the audience that anything less than 3 hours is seriously going to weak the over all film. An epic story of humankind in which the actions and consequences of our lives impact one another throughout the past, present and future as one soul is shaped from a murderer into a savior and a single act of kindness ripples out for centuries to inspire a revolution.

Skyfall Theatrical Trailer. Could this be Bond’s film to date or will it be overly blotted like Quantum of Solace?

After Casino Royale I have really enjoyed Daniel Craig as James Bond, the movies he stars in are much grittier that previous Bond films and brings in realism instead of goofy gadgets and strange plot about the destruction of the world.  This film, Skyfall, looks to be the most action packed and exciting James Bond film since Casino Royale, the plot I have to say is going to one fascinating experience and I would really like to see where they are going to take it. Once again Javier Bardem looks to be having fun in the role and he could make for an exciting a menacing villain for Bond in this film. I am extremely excited for this and really would like this to be the best Bond film yet, and now Q is a major player in it so that is a step forward in terms of characters.
